Vous avez vu pas mal de réas sur ce blog faites avec les produits Viva Decor dont je parle tout le temps et que j'adore. Leandra, de PaperArtsy, vient de faire une super vidéo pour vous montrer comment utiliser ces peintures Ferro et Terra. Regardez, c'est du 100% ce qu'il y a de mieux!

Don't leave me behind...

I'm part of the furniture....
I think Poppy is a bit worried that we "abandon" her for a few weeks again... but she needn't worry, she will be in the new house within 30 min. this time....

Ne m'oubliez pas, je fais partie des meubles.... Je crois que Poppy s'inquiète et a craint qu'on ne l'abandonne" quelques semaines comme l'année dernière... mais pas d'inquiétude, elle n'aura que 30 mn en voiture cette fois.

Braving the cold

My apple thief is braving the cold (windchill of - 18°C this morning) and came for breakfast.

Mon voleur de pomme affronte le froid (- 18° en plein vent ce matin) pour prendre son petit dej...









But Poppy has switched to winter mode and prefers to keep an eye on him from the comfort of her basket.... who would blame her ?

The dark side....... HATE snow plows

It all starts well.... all white and pretty....
Ca commence bien, c'est joli, tout blanc...


Keeping an eye on the road... the snow plow has been a couple of times already... not good...

On garde un oeil dehors. Le chasse-neige est déjà passé 2 fois... c'est pas bon ça ... ça s'accumule sur le bord de la route.




Later, you have to go out... Quick look at the drive way... yeahhhh.. managable... a few cm, that's not too bad...

Puis, plus tard, il faut sortir... coup d'oeil à la voie de garage.... ouaiii, ça va le faire, quelques cm , c'est jouable.



But then... you turn around and the monster plow has been four times! And I HAVE to get out !! Well..... shovel and elbow grease it is...

Mais après, tu te tournes, et là: horreur. Le chasse-neige est encore repassé et la neige s'est accumulée, encore et encore et on ne peut plus sortir




So I just cleared enough to get out to go to the dentist (took 45mn of shoveling!) and when I came back, my willing helpers were home. Willing for the first snow storm.... not as willing in a couple of month !!! LOL Even Meli has her little shovel now... Another 1h15 of shoveling... but we did not finish it all, we left some for Bob... good exercise for him too... Can't feel my arms anymore: that snow was very wet and HEAVY !!

Donc, j'en ai enlevé juste assez pour sortir (et aller chez le dentiste!! faut en vouloir quand même): 45mn de pelle.
Puis à mon retour, les elfes étaient rentrés, tout pleins de bonne volonté (ouai, c'est parce que c'est la première tempête... ça ne va pas durer non plus....). Même Meli a sa tite pelle maintenant.
Encore 1h15 de pelle... mais on en a laissé un peu à Bob quand même.... LOL y'a pas de raison... un peu d'exercice lui fera du bien;
Je ne sens plus mes bras, j'ai mal partout et ça va retomber ce soir.... Va falloir installer une voie de garage chauffante à la nouvelle maison ! LOL

Just wanted to share a few pictures to show you what we woke up to this morning: the first snow storm of the season... It's beginning to feel a looooot liiiiike Chriiiiistmas LOL.
Melissa is delighted (sorry blurry picture but I took that at 7:30 this morning before she got on the bus, and there was not enough light). I'm happy too as I love the snow, but won't be later when I need to take the shovel out to clear what's the snow plow has left on my driveway... All that to go to the dentist too!!!
It's still snowing out there and there is a lot of wind: not nice... Still, it's not too cold... yet...

Un petit passage pour vous montrer la surprise de ce matin (enfin pas surprise, ils l'avaient annoncé). La première tempête de neige de la saison.
Melissa est aux anges (désolée pour la photo floue mais je l'ai prise à 7:30 ce matin avant qu'elle ne prenne le bus, et il n'y avait pas assez de lumière), les enfants ont sorti les snow boots et vu ce que les chasse-neige ont laissé derrière eux, je vais devoir sortir la pelle tout à l'heure si je veux passer avec la voiture. Tout ça pour aller chez le dentiste en plus!!
Ca tombe toujours, et il y a un sacré vent, pas agréable de dehors....
